Booth, John (22 DEC 1839 - 13 JAN 1919)

John Booth was born Dec. 22nd, 1839 at Rhinebeck, N.Y., and died at his home in Greenwood, Clark Co., Wis. Jan. 13th, 1919, age 79 years and 22 days. He was united in marriage to Angie C. Fertile, July 5th, 1861. There were born to this union three sons and four daughters. His wife, two sons and three daughters preceded him in death.

Mr. Both enlisted in Co. H. 11th Minn. Volunteer Infantry, Aug. 29th, 1864 and was mustered out of service June 26th, 1865.

He leaves to mourn their loss, one son, Vern L. Booth, of Seattle, Wash., and one daughter, Mrs. W.H. Palms of Atascadero, Calif.

Deceased was well known and like by all, having been a resident of this city for many years. His death was a shock to the entire community and his many intimate friends extend their heartfelt sympathy to the bereaved relatives.

Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon, Rev. J.A. Moats officiating. (Buried in Greenwood Cemetery)
