CUNNINGHAM SCHOOL

This school was built in 1922. The first school board members were Alfred Drescher, Theodore Kissling Sr. and Herman Handt. The first teacher was Marie Hubing. The last school board members were Mrs. Victor Braatz, Mrs. Elmer Schultz and Mr. Vernon Drescher. The last teacher was Alyce Qualley. Other teachers were Mrs. Emma Lindquist, Mrs. Lettie Suckow, Anida Hiles, Lou Neff, Mildred Williams and Mrs. Schlimme. The school closed in 1957-58. It was sold to Gerald Kuehn in 1959, they remodeled it and made it into a two-story home. Their children are Dennis, Dale and Iris all at home.
