Andrew Christie was born at Hartstown, Pa., July 26, 1848. He was married to Caroline Beelar May 17, 1875. In the year 1876 they came to Clark County and later bought a farm at Christie, where they resided until his death. He came to Clark County when it was but a wilderness, forty years ago, and he was one of the County's old pioneers and has spent many winters in the woods. He was a good hearted man and neighbor. He leaves two sisters, Mrs. J. C. McMaster of Augusta and Mrs. T. McClanthan of Hartstown, Pa., one brother Mathen (Matthew) Christie of Hartstown Pa. He also leaves to morn his loss, his wife and four children, Mrs. Len Shaw of Christie, Mrs. Ben Stanley of Eaton, and Scott and Fred Christie of Christie, and five grandchildren.
