Schoeffner, Mary E. (Marriage - 19 May 1904)

Mr. Oscar Jahr and Miss Mary E. Schoeffner were untied in marriage at the residence of the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ed Schoeffner, in the town of Loyal, Clark County, on Thursday afternoon, May 19, at 2 o'clock, Rev. Wm. Sange officiating.

The groom is the eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. Bernhard Jahr of the town of Grant. He is a young man of industry and good habits and has the respect of all who know him.

The bride is quiet and ladylike, and has all the qualities of womanhood and has a host of friends.

Miss Hannah Schoeffner, sister of the bride, acted as bridesmaid, while Edwin R. Jahr acted as best man. The nearest relatives and neighbors were present to do honor to the occasion. Many beautiful presents were bestowed and congratulations offered. A bountiful supper was served and the time spent in social entertainment. The young couple will make their home in the town of York, where the groom has a home awaiting his bride. The good wishes of their many friends follow them.
