Decker, Martha (17 NOV 1906 - 10 JUN 2002)

Martha Decker, 95, Greenwood, died on Monday, June 10, 2002, at the House of the Dove, Marshfield. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, June 13, at Immanuel United Church of Christ, Greenwood. The Rev. Michael Kennedy officiated. Burial was in the parish cemetery. Pallbearers were Harvey Goeke, Roger Schwarze, Eliot Suda, Dennis Suda, Steve Noeldner and Gary Nielson.

Martha Miller was born on Nov. 17, 1906, in the town of Eaton, Greenwood, to Albert and Lydia (nee Reineking) Miller. She attended area schools. She married Walter Decker on Aug. 28, 1929, at her parents' home. They farmed in the Greenwood area for many years. She was a member of the Immanuel United Church of Christ Ladies Aid and was an organist for the church.

Survivors include four nieces, Joanne Miller, Sharon Miller, Jeanette Suda and Barbara Noeldner and one nephew, Art Wehrman. Preceding her in death were her husband, Walter, in February 1988 her parents one sister, Erna Wehrman and one brother, Arno Miller. Cuddie Funeral Home, Greenwood, assisted the family with arrangements.
