Raymond, Edna (Marriage - 22 Sep 1908)

Mr. Herbert Fradette of Greenwood, Clark County and Miss Edna Raymond of the town of Weston were married at the home of the bride’s sister, Mrs. James Tompkins Wednesday evening, Sept. 22, 1908, Rev. W.T. Hendren officiating. A large group of relatives of the bride and groom were present. The house was decorated with autumn leaves, smilax and flowers. The bride was attired in white and carried smilax and carnations; the groom wore the customary black. The wedding march was played by Pearl Weast. After the ceremony there was a fine wedding supper, which with the congratulations and many words of good cheer made up an evening of real enjoyment. Many fine presents added to the substantial enjoyment of the newly wedded couple.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Delos Raymond of Weston. Her qualities of mind and character are such as to make her truly loved and respected by all who know her. Of the groom words of highest praise are spoken by the people of Greenwood and others who know him best. They will reside on Mr. Fradette’s farm near Christie.
