HILLER, John (5 FEB 1845 - 15 Dec 1914)

John HILLER, an old and highly respected resident here (Stanley, Clark County, Wis.), passed away on Tuesday Dec. 15, 1914, at the age of 69 years, 10 months and 10 days. His last illness was of short duration, a general breakdown and advance age bringing on the end. Mr. HILLER was a kind, honest and hard-working man, and a devoted husband and father. He was born in Schleswig-Holstein, Germany on Feb. 5, 1845, where he grew to manhood, and on April 24, 1873 was united in marriage with Miss Maria Lorens. Ten years later he came to New Holstein, Calumet Co., where he resided four years, when he came to Stanley, where he resided since. The funeral, which was largely attended, was held from his home on Saturday afternoon last, Rev. Schwertfiger officiating, interment taking place in the town of Worden Cemetery. He leaves to mourn, his aged wife and seven children, John HILLER of Sigourney, Iowa, Hans HILLER of Stanley, Claude, Carl, Mary, Emma and Clara HILLER, who reside here.
