Meyer, Mrs. Wm. F. ( 13 April 1873 - 20 March 1922)

Mrs. Wm. F. Meyer of the town of Pine Valley died at the Marshfield hospital Monday evening at 6:30 o’clock, March 20, 1922, following a severe surgical operation which she underwent Friday. Deceased was born at Schleswig, Manitowoc County, Wisconsin, April 13, 1871. She grew to womanhood there and was married to Wm. F. Meyer in February, 1902. They came to Clark county 14 years ago and bought the Tully Pratt farm near Sidney which has been their home since. A few weeks ago it was discovered that a severe surgical operation was the only hope of saving her life. She was greatly weakened by the loss of blood and although her husband, who is not himself strong, had a transfusion to his own blood in the last hope of saving his wife, it was of no avail.

Mrs. Meyer was a good wife and mother, a kind and helpful neighbor. Her death will be sadly felt in her home. She leaves her husband and two children, August and Hilda, twins, 19 years of age. The funeral will be held Friday, afternoon at 1 o’clock at the house, and 2 o’clock at St. John’s Lutheran church in Neillsville, Rev. H. Brandt officiating.
