Washburn, Ila M. (3 JUN 1924)

The marriage of Miss Ila M. Washburn and Mr. Mahlon Lund was celebrated. The happy event occurred at 7:30 o'clock last Tuesday evening at the M. E. Parsonage in Fairchild, Eau Claire Co., Wis., the pastor, Rev. Alex J. Abbott, officiated. Present were the pastor's family and the parents of the bride, Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Washburn. After the vows were pledged the party partook of a dainty wedding supper, prepared by Mrs. Abbot at the parsonage, in honor of the newly wedded couple.

Mr. Lund and bride then drove to Northfield, where they were guests at the home of his sister for a few days. After June 16th they will be at home to their friends at Black River Falls, where the groom has already prepared a fine bungalow home for his happy bride.

The bride has grown to charming womanhood in this vicinity (Humbird, Clark County, Wis.), and is one of our most popular young ladies. She is a member of the Methodist Church and active in its different branches of work. She was the recipient of many beautiful wedding gifts from relatives and friends.

The groom is a much respected young man in his home city, Black River Falls. He is the owner of a fine farm near there, which is at present occupied by a brother. He is employed in the city, where they will make their home.

Our congratulations and best wishes are added to those of a host of friends of both of these happy young people.
