Stuve, Helen Esther Marble ( 15 JUNE 1938)

Miss Helen Stuve Wed

Miss Helen Stuve, the youngest daughter of Mrs. Emma Stuve, who has been employed as a nurse in the hospitals at Neillsville and Black River Falls the past few years, was united in marriage at Wessington Springs, S. Dak., on June 15, to Robert Short, of that city, the presidnet of the college, Rev. W. A. Harden, performing the ceremony.

The groom is a stranger to our people. He has just completed the theological college in Seattle, and will be ordained as minister of the Free Methodist church. His father is a prominant merchant in Wessington Springs.

The bride, after completing the local high school course, enrolled in the nurses training class in the Bellin hospital at Green Bay. She has follwed the nurses profession since that time, part of the time in private practice and part of the time in hospital work. For the present she is remaining on the staff of Krohn hospital.

Tuesday evening a community shower was given in honor of the bride at the Odd Fellows hall, and was attended by many of her large circle of young friends of the community, and beautiful gifts were bestowed upon her.

The ultimate home of these young people is expected to be in the missionary fields of South America, in the service of their church where the groom will have charge of a station and the bride will cooperate in her profession.
