Mr. Louis Walters and Miss Mary Sladk, both of the town of York were married June 26, at the Catholic church in Loyal. They wee attended by three couples, namely Mr. Vencel Sladk, Jr., and Miss Ann Walters; Mr. Tony Walters and Miss Josephine Lukas; Mr. Albert Scheckelman and Miss Antonia Hardy.

The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. George Walters and is an enterprising and industrious young farmer. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Vencel Sladk, Sr., and is a bright, capable young lady, well qualified for the duties of the new house on the farm of the bride’s parents.

The bride wore a white silk dress and carried a shower bouquet.

The first bridesmaid, Miss Walters, was dressed in blue silk; the second bridesmaid, Miss Lukas, wore a dress of pink organdie and the third bridesmaid, Miss Hardy, was dressed in orange organdie.

After the ceremony a bountiful dinner was served at the home of the bride’s parents. A reception and dance given all of the afternoon, a big tent being put up on the lawn for the purpose and in the evening a dance was given at Heintown Hall, which was largely attended.
