A boy was born to Mr. and Mrs. M.W. Lawrence Wednesday, October 18. The young people enjoyed a pleasant evening at the home of Mr. and Mrs. J.S. Palmer Friday. A party was given in honor of their daughter Carrie. The abutments for the new bridge are about finished. Miss Orpah Campbell is sick with appendicitis. Miss Chloe Root is home from Humbird for a visit to her parents. Mrs. E.A. Graves was under the doctor's care the first of the week. A. Benedict is postmaster at this place now. F.J. Kimba, of Greenwood, put up a windmill for John Kubat last week. B.H. Lawrence was a caller from Loyal Wednesday. Mr. and Mrs. Lon Stevens, of Veekind, were visitors here on Sunday last. Parties from Christie comtemplate putting in a skimming station somewhere in the Dwyer neighborhood. Reports have it that Robert Chase had a foot smashed last Sunday, while riding a bicycle.
