Rita Greisen

Rita Mae Greisen, 56, Greenwood, died Sunday, March 14, 2004, at Saint Joseph's Hospital, Marshfield. Visitation will be held from 4-8 p.m., Wednesday, March 17, with a 6:30 p.m. rosary service. Following a 10 a.m. visitation, funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, March 18, at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Greenwood. The Rev. Joseph Follmar will officiate. Pallbearers will be Julie Paul, Jamie Paul, Jenny Paul, Jamie Lenz, Jeremy Paul, Mike Kodesh, Brian Sirinek and Nathan Brom.

Rita Mae Kodesh was born Feb. 25, 1948, in Rice Lake, to Joseph and Laura (nee Van Helden) Kodesh. She was raised and educated in Rice Lake, graduating from Rice Lake High School in 1966. She married Gerald Greisen on Dec. 16, 1967, in Haugen. They resided near Chippewa Falls fpr a couple of years and then moved to Cameron, where they lived until 1976. They then moved to Greenwood, and have resided there since. She was a homemaker and worked for the Marshfield Clinic, cleaning the Greenwood and Loyal offices. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, where she taught C.C.D., St. Ann's Society, and the Greenwood American Legion Auxiliary. Her interests included spending time with her family and friends, taking care of her family, gardening, cooking, baking, fishing, playing cards and attending family sporting events.

She will be sadly missed by her husband, Gerald Greisen, Greenwood; her children, Gary (Jamie) Greisen, Birchwood, Terri (Ron) Esselman, Greenwood, David (Marci) Greisen, Nicollet, Minn., and Aaron Greisen, River FallS; four grandchildren~ Rachel, Elizabeth, Mikayla and Abigail; her mother, Laura Kodesh, Rice Lake; her siblings, Mary Ann (Roger) Hendrickson, South Haven, Minn., Donald (Evelyn) Kodesh, Rice Lake, Joseph (Barbara) Kodesh, New Hampshire, Jack (Betty) Kodesh, Rice Lake, Vern (Jean) Kodesh, Rice Lake, Jim (Judy) Kodesh, Wyoming, Minn., Tom (Karen) Kodesh, Chetek, Frank (Sandy) Kodesh, Rice Lake, Pat (John) Paul, Birchwood, Rose (John) LeTendre, New Hampsh1re, Sharon {Greg) Bilyeu, Atlanta, Ga., Michael Kodesh, Chetek, and Sue (Jim) Sirinek, Birchwood; her second family, Nathan Brom, Bryan Brom, Scott Lenz, Bryan Lenz, Jamie Lenz, Josh Natzke, Matt Natzke, Brianna Schaller, Camryn Schaller, and Katie Miskanis; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Preceding her in death was her father, Joseph Kodesh; one son, Hugh Joseph Greisen; and one brother, Bernard Kodesh.

Cuddie Funeral Home, Greenwood, is assisting the family with arrangements.
