Lena Molle

Lena Molle, 87, Abbotsford, Wisconsin, died Sunday, May 2, 2004, at Saint Joseph's Hospital Palliative Care, Marshfield. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m., Wednesday, May 5, at Maurina Funeral Home, Abbotsford. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, May 6, at the Maurina Funeral Home, Abbotsford. Mr. Robert Ruprich will officiate. Burial will be in the Colby Memorial Cemetery. Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Gary Rachu, Dale Rachu, Les Kauth, Joe Kauth, Steve Kauth, and Tom Kauth.

Lena Barbata Awe was born Aug. 15, 1916, in the town of Green Grove, Clark County, to Henry and Rose (nee Brecker) Awe. She married Albert Molle on Sept. 25, 1953. He died July 12, 1976. They farmed in the town of Green Grove and later owned and operated the North Side Tavern for two years. They then farmed in the town of Unity until 1963. In Medford, they owned and operated Molle's Tap, moving to Abbotsford in 1973. She was employed at Medo Farms restaurant in Abbotsford and later at the Continental Manor Nursing Home. Her interests included gardening, her flowers, fishing and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Survivors include three daughters, Darlene (Glenn) Rachu, Abbotsford, Cairgene (Leroy) Kauth, Spencer, and Linda Molle, Abbotsford; three sisters, Alvina Laabs, Abbotsford, Alma Harper, P1acerville, Calif., and Ruth (Alfred) Molle, Withee; 10 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and three step-great- grandchildren.
