Begley, Elizabeth (24 Sep 1853 - 24 Jul 1927)

Mrs. Edward Begley, Sr., who has been very ill for several months, passed away at her home in this city (Neillsville, Clark County, Wis.) Sunday morning, July 24, 1927, aged 73 years and 10 months.

Mrs. Begley, whose maiden name was Elizabeth McKimm, was born in Ontario, Canada, Sept. 24, 1853. She grew to womanhood there and came with her family to Clark County in 1874.

She was married to Edward Begley Oct. 4, 1876, and they settled on their farm in the town of York, which was developed into a fine home. They lived there until 7 years ago, when they moved to the city, living here ever since.

Mrs. Begley was a woman of very fine qualities. She gave to her home and family the industry and care which made all about her comfortable and happy. Her manner was quiet and laky-like, and her spirit of sympathy and helpfulness extended beyond her own home, and throughout the neighborhood. In early life she was a member of the Presbyterian Church.

She is survived by her husband and two sons, George and Edward, Jr. of Neillsville, and a daughter Grace, at home. Two sons, John and Howard are deceased. She leaves also 5 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren; also two brothers, Joseph McKimm, Neillsville, and James McKimm, living in Canada, and one sister, Mrs. Sam Christie of Greenwood.

The funeral was held at the home Tuesday afternoon, Rev. G. W. Longenecker officiating.
