Lautenbach, Julius C. A. (28 Jul 1863 - 8 Augl 1927)

Julius Carl Albert Lautenbach was born in Pommern, Germany, July 28, 1863. At the age of three years he came with his parents to Manitowoc, Wis., and in 1870 moved to the town of Grant, Clark County, Wis., which since has been his home. In 1889 he was united in marriage to Emma Beer. This union was blessed with 10 children.

Mr. Lautenbach has been failing in health the past years and Thursday, July 28 was taken to the Marshfield Hospital to undergo an operation for rupture, which later developed into pneumonia, and early Monday morning he passed away at the age of 64 years and 3 days. He leaves to mourn his departure, his wife and children, namely , Theresa, Mrs. F. E. Gotter of Loyal; Lesetta, Mrs. George Peccor of Rhinelander; Hugo of Milwaukee; Arthur, Oscar and Eddie of Granton; Laona, Rhinehart and Ewald at home. One son, Alvin, died in infancy. He leaves also two brothers, William and Otto, 12 grandchildren and many other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held at the Reiff Church Wednesday afternoon, Rev. Booth officiating. The pallbearers were Henry Winter, Gustave Beilke, Wm. Wischulke, Paul Roder, David Hillert and John Dietrich.

To all, his untimely death comes as a grievous blow and the sympathy of his many friends goes out to these bereaved ones in their sad hour.

Among the out of town relatives in attendance at the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. Herman Beer of Chilton; Mr. and Mrs. Charles Beer of Waupaca; Mr. and Mrs. Emil Arndt; Mrs. Augusta Beer; Mrs. Carl Lautenbach and daughter Clara of Marshfield; Amanda Schulke of Milwaukee; George Peccor and family of Rhinelander, and Mr. and Mrs. Richard Anding of Altoona.
