Schlinsog, Lillian (8 JUN 1927)

A pretty June wedding took place on Wednesday, June 8th, 1927, at 4 o'clock in the afternoon at the Ev. Lutheran Hephatha Church, Milwaukee, Wis., when Mr. Hans H. Heincke and Miss Lillian Schlinsog were united in the holy bonds of matrimony, the Rev. H. Meyer officiating.

Masses of snowballs, sweet peas and ferns decorated the altar.

The bride wore a gown of white georgette over a satin slip and with silver trimming around the neck and skirt. The long tulle veil fell from a head dress of rose point and a wreath of orange blossoms and lilies of the valley. The bridal bouquet was a shower of pink tea roses, white sweet peas and lilies of the valley and asparagus ferns.

The groom was attended by his friend, Vere Snyder of Granton, Wis., who wore navy blue. The groom also was navy blue.

The ceremony at the church was followed by a reception at the home of the groom's sister, Mr. and Mrs. O. Georgi. The decorations were light green and white. The table was decorated with the large wedding cake and 2 green candles at each end and bouquets of white sweet peas. Miss Selma Retta, a close friend of the bride, acted as table waitress.

The bride is the oldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Herman A. Schlinsog, of the town of York, Clark County, Wis., and the groom is the younger son of Mr. Emil Heincke, Pommern, Germany.

The out of town guests were: Mrs. Herman Schlinsog and daughters, Alma and Esther, Miss Gertie Beilke and Mr. Vere Snyder of Granton, Wis., and Mr. and Mrs. Henry Saathhoff of Peoria, Ill.

The young couple began housekeeping at their home on 1088 19th St., Milwaukee, Wis.
