Erpenbach, Wilhelmina (1 JUN 1878 - 10 Jan 1928)

Mrs. Peter Erpenbach died Jan. 10, 1928, while on a visit at the home of her daughter in Cashton. While there she was stricken with pleura-pneumonia and lived but a short time. Mrs. Erpenbach's maiden name was Wilhelmina Osterman. She was born in Vienna, Austria, June 1, 1878. Her father died when she was three months old and later she came to America with her mother and settled at Parrons, S. D. In 1896 she was married to Peter Erpenbach and they settled on a farm in Monroe Co., living there until 1921, when they moved to the town of Weston in Clark County.

To Mr. and Mrs. Erpenbach five children were born, two of who preceded the mother in death. Those surviving are Mrs. Anton Geier of Cashton, Miss Stella Erpenbach in Milwaukee and Anton Erpenbach at home. Besides the husband and children she leaves to mourn her death her aged mother, a half-sister and 7 grandchildren.

Mrs. Erpenbach was a good woman in every way and will liked by all who knew her.

The funeral was held Saturday at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Neillsville, Rev. Peter Weber officiating.

Those from away who attended the funeral were Mrs. Anton Geier of Cashton, Mr. Carl Bever and children of Cashton, Miss Stella Erpenbach of Milwaukee and Mrs. Jacob Walters of Park Falls.
