Sloniker, Mildred M. (10 August 1907 - 17 December 1972)

Mrs. Ross Sloniker, 65, died at her home early Sunday morning of an apparent heart attack. The former Mildred M. Schneider, daughter of Henry and Emma (Ewald) Schneider, was born August 10, 1907, in the Town of Unity. She was married July 24, 1924, to Ross Sloniker in Greenwood. They farmed east of Greenwood until they retired and moved to the city in 1967. She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church.

Survivors are her husband; three sons, Delbert of Medford and Edward and Verlyn of Greenwood; 12 grandchildren; a great-grandchild; two brothers, Alvin and Ervin Schneider of Manitowoc; and three sisters, Mrs. Adela Mellenthin of Spencer, Mrs. Leona Barnowski of Wausau, and Mrs. Vera Kesweder of Downey, Cal.

Funeral services were to be held Wednesday, from Grace United Methodist Church with Rev. Eugene Antrim officiating, with burial in the Greenwood Cemetery.

Funeral services for Mrs. Ross Sloniker were held last week Wednesday afternoon from Grace United Methodist Church. The Rev. Eugene Antrim officiated and burial was made in the Greenwood Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Hugh Severson, Casper Lindner, David Danielson, Henry Keller, Fred Hohl and Donald Wells. Gary Schultz sang, “In the Garden” and “Beyond the Sunset,” accompanied by Mrs. Kathryn Ivey.

Relatives and friends attending came from Wausau, Spencer, Stratford, Manitowoc, Sheboygan, Reedsburg, Wonewoc, Medford, River Falls, Madison, Edgar, Kennan, and from the Loyal and Greenwood area.
