Cattanach, james (8 Oct. 1833 - 15 April 1926)

James Cattanach, one of the oldest residents of the Nasonville country, passed away at his home there Thursday, April 15th, aged 92 years, 5 months and 18 days. He was born at Dalhousie Mills, Canada, Oct. 28, 1833, and came to the Nasonville community, then a new settlement in the wilderness, in the fall of 1868, nearly 68 years ago, and has made his home there ever since. He was a man of industry and sterling integrity and did his full share in developing his community.

He is survived by four sons and one daughter, namely: Daniel Cattanach, Marshfield; Walter Cattanach, Owen; Earl Cattanbach, Marshfield; Linn Cattanach, Hopkinton, Iowa. He also leaves five brothers, Daniel, John, Angus, Alex and Duncan, and two sisters, Mrs. James Clark of Nasonville, and Mrs. John Rausch of Granton.

The funeral was held in the Presbyterian church at Nasonville Sunday.
