Selk, Sara Kay (10 September 1983)

The Rev. Kevin L. Wenker officiated at the nuptial ceremony September 10 when Miss Sara Kay Selk, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Selk, was given in marriage by her father to Mark William Nickel, son of Mr. and Mrs. William Nickel. All are of Route 1, Chili.

The nuptials were at Zion Lutheran Church, Granton, where Darla Reuth and Kari Lovstad were organists and Mark Laven and Pat Nickel, singers.

The bride, carrying pink roses and rosebuds with baby's breath, had an ivory gown of chiffonette and venise lace with chapel train and matching lace-covered picture hat with long veil.

Her attendants were Miss Krisan Lovstad of Route 1, Chili, maid of honor, and miss Susan Nickel of Chili, Miss Jackie Cliver of Marshfield and Miss Tammy Millette and Miss Janet Selk, both of Chili, bridesmaids. They had dusty rose formals and each carried three long-stemmed pink roses with baby's breath.

Larry Nickel, Loyal, was best man. Groomsmen were Steve Selk, Brian Hildebrandt, Jeff Selk, Mark Schlagenhaft and Dale Nickel, all of Chili and ushering were Kenny Lovstad and Dean Wickel.

The reception and dance were at the Loyal American Legion Hall, Loyal. The newlyweds live on Route 1, Chili and plan an October honeymoon.

The bride graduated in 1982 from Marshfield Senior High School. She does babysitting and housekeeping. Her husband, who is in masonry and construction, is a 1978 Granton High School graduate.
