Eisentraut, Alta E. (30 JUN 1928)

Saturday afternoon, June 30, 1928, at 6:45 o'clock, the farm residence of Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Eisentraut in the town of Grant, Clark County, Wis. was the scene of a very pretty home wedding, when their daughter, Miss Alta Evelyn Eisentraut was united in marriage with Mr. Willard H. Allen, Rev. S. J. Lambright of Neillsville officiating.

The bridal couple was attended by Mr. Walcott Riley and Miss Gertrude Huchthausen of Wis. Rapids. The bridal party and officiating clergyman were grouped upon the front porch, which was partially enclosed with the network of ferns. The guests were assemble upon the lawn in front of the porch. The porched rooms were decorated with roses. The bride wore a dress of pink georgette trimmed with lace and the bridesmaid wore a figure georgette trimmed with lace.

After the ceremony a fine wedding supper was served, about thirty guests, relatives and close friends of the bride and groom, being present.

The groom is the son of Mrs. Alvina Allen of Neillsville. He grew to manhood here and graduated from Neillsville High School in the class of 1924. He attended Milton College for about a year and then secured a position in the Dairy Exchange Bank, remaining there until Sept. 1, 1927, when he went into the First National Bank as bookkeeper, which position he now holds. He is a young man of high character and is trusted and admired by all who know him.

The bride completed the rual school course in the town of Grant and entered Neillsville High School, graduating in the class of 1926. Since then she has taught successfully in rural schools. Both as a student and teacher she made many friends among her associates, and in her home life has had fine training and experience.

The young couple left soon after their marriage for a wedding trip by auto, On their return they will make their home in Neillsville.
