Scharf, Elizabeth (1 Feb 1846 - 20 Jul 1929)

Mrs. Elizabeth Scharf died at 11 o'clock on Saturday, July 20, 1929, at her home in the town of Grant, aged 83 years, 5 months and 19 days. She was born in Klein Graben, Germany, Feb. 1, 1846, and grew to womanhood there. In 1871 she was married to Carl Scharf and the next year they came to Wisconsin and settled in Ozaukee Co. They lived there for two years and then moved to Clark County, which has been their home ever since.

She leaves to mourn her death he aged husband, two sons, William of the town of Fremont and Herman of the town of Grant; and one daughter, Mrs. Ernest Grottke of Grant. One son, John, preceded her in death. She leaves also one sister, Mrs. Rosa Ley of Grafton, Wis., 17 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild. The funeral was held at the Buth Church July 23, Rev. J. G. Buth officiating.
