Isabelle H. Wachholz, 81, Colby, formally of Spencer, died on Saturday, July 13, 2002, at Saint Joseph’s Hospital Palliative Care Unit, Marshfield. Funeral services were held at 8 p.m. on Monday, July 15, at the Community Funeral Home, Spencer. The Rev. Karl Rose officiated. Burial was in the West Spencer Cemetery.

Isabelle Helen Georges was born on April 8, 1921, to Arthur and Tillie [nee Sedlack] Georges. She married Norman Wachholz on Oct. 9, 1943. She was a cook at Spencer Public Schools for 17 years, worked at the Spencer IGA, and was a prep cook at the Village Plaza. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church.

Survivors include one son, Robert [Shirley] Wachho;z, Marshfield; one daughter, Karen [Brent] Eelman, Willow Grove, Pa.; two grandsons, Patrick and Nathan Wachholz; one granddaughter, Emily Eelman; one great-grandson, Brandon Wachholz; and one brother, Elmer Georges, Niellsville.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, Norman, on May 15, 1971; and one sister, Dorothy Serch.

Community Funeral Home, Spencer, assisted the family with arrangements.
