Beckman, John (24 MAR 1856 - 7 Apr 1922)

John Beckman, aged sixty-six years and fourteen days, died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Arthur Raether in the town of Withee, Clark County, Wis. on Friday evening, April 7th, 1922 after a short illness, heart trouble being the cause. Mr. Beckman was born in Mecklenburg, Germany, and came to this country at the age of fifteen years. He was a respected resident of the town of Worden for about thirty-five years, and a resident of this village the past five years. His wife preceded him in death but a few weeks ago. The funeral occurred on Monday afternoon from the Evangelical Lutheran Church in the town of Reseberg, Rev. A. C. Stapel officiating, interment following in the nearby cemetery (Sylvan)
