Frankewicz, Casimir (27 JAN 1915 - 22 FEB 2001)

Casimir Frankewicz, 86, was born on Jan. 27, 1915 and passed away Feb. 22, 2001.

He received his elementary education at the Pineland School, and then on to Thorp High School and teachers college in Stevens Point, WI.

He was a schoolteacher at the age of 18, at the Blueberry School (a little country school) and later taught in Goodman, WI. During World War II he served in the U. S. Air Force and the U. S. Maritime Service.

He married Laura Waichulis in Chicago in 1961 and she passed away in Ja. 1978. After service Casimir was employed as a Precision Machinist in Chicago.

In 1982 Casey moved to Thorp, Clark County, WI and became active in various local organizations: American Legion, Moose, Legion of the Moose, Polish Heritage Days and the Pineland School Reunion. He was president of the Thorp Alumni Association from 1985 to 1989. Also Alderman in the City of Thorp from 1988 - 1992. He enjoyed outdoors and was an avid golfer and enjoyed hunting and fishing.

He is survived by two sisters: Felicia (John) Lesniak of St. Paul, MN, Frances Preston of Ft. Lauderdale, FL; one……. (the rest of my copy was cut off)
