Gottlieb Sanger

A Sad Accident.

A sad accident befell Gotlieb Sanger, a farmer living in the vicinity of Nasonville, on Saturday last. He was about to cross a rail fence on his way home from the woods where he had been at work, when he slipped, falling backwards, the top rail falling on his chest. His spine was injured by the fall and he was unable to rise. The unfortunate man had to remain laying there until found by some of his folks who had become alarmed at his unusual absence. Medical assistance was at once called, and on examination, it was found that the poor man’s whole body, with the exception the head and arms, was completely paralyzed.

Later: Mr. Sanger died on Tuesday, and will be buried at Nasonville on Thursday. He was fifty years of age and leaves a wife and family.
