Illness Fatal To Granton Resident

Funeral Services to be Wednesday for Mrs. Henry Knoll, Sr.

Granton - Mrs. Henry Knoll, Sr., 61, of route 1, Granton, who had been in poor health for many years due to diabetes and complications, died Monday at 12:05 a. m. at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Marshfield, where she was admitted Sunday.

Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday afternoon at 2 o’clock at the Gilbertson Funeral Home, Granton, where the body is lying in state. The Rev. G. W. Longenecker, Congregational pastor from Neillsville, will officiate at the rites, and burial will be made in Yolo cemetery, Chili.

Mrs. Knoll, nee Anna Schraeter, was born in the Town of Lynn, Clark County, May 2, 1882, and was married to Henry Knoll, Nov. 28, 1898 at Marshfield. She spent most of her life on a farm in the Town of Fremont, and the last 11 years had lived in the Town of York.

Surviving besides her husband are a daughter, Mrs. Milton (Della) Hawley, Granton; a son, Henry Knoll Jr., Granton; five brothers, Gustav of Greeley, Colo., August of Chicago, Fred of Arpin, and William and Henry, addresses unknown; a sister, Mrs. Herman Stargardt, Marshfield; and two grandsons.

A daughter, Mary, died at the age of four; a son, Emery when he was 19 years old; and two brothers Ferdinand and Charles; and a sister, Bertha, also preceded her in death
