Hubing, Beatrice (17 JUN 1924)

On Tuesday morning at St. Balthasar's Church, Miss Beatrice Hubing, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Hubing, and Roland Bauer, son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Bauer, were married, Rev. Stenz officiating. The bride was lovely in white canton crepe trimmed with pearls. She wore a tulle veil, which reached to the bottom of her dress and was held in place by a band of pearls. She carried a bouquet of bride's roses and sweet peas. The bride was attended by her sister, Miss Vinetta Hubing, who wore a tan crepe de chine dress trimmed with lace. Mr. Bauer had as his best man his brother, Mr. Edwin Bauer.

After the ceremony an informal reception was held at the home of the bride's parents, where a wedding dinner and supper were served to about eighty-five relatives. The evening was spent in dancing. Many lovely gifts were received.

Both young people are well known in this community, and have a large circle of friends who wish them much joy in their life together.

Those from out of town who attended the wedding were, Mrs. Mike Hubing, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Hubing and family, Mr. and Mrs. George Hubing, Mr. and Mrs. Emil Hubing and daughter Lucinda, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Wojciechowski and daughter Geraldine from Athens, Wis., and Mrs. Johanna Lepke, Mr. and Mrs. Mark Hoesly and family, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Marth and daughter Ruby, Mr. and Mrs. Nick Wilger and family of Neillsville, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Hubing and family from Glendive, Mont., Mrs. George Beaver and daughters Anita and Rosetta of Granton.

Mr. and Mrs. Bauer have gone to housekeeping on the groom's farm southeast of Loyal, Clark County, Wis.

My maiden name is Hubing.  My father was Michael, whose father was Emil. Lucinda, my fathers sister is my Aunt.  An interesting fact is, my husbands mothers maiden name was Bauer.  Her father was Rudolph.  I don't know his fathers name.
