Luchterhand, Elsie (14 May 1925)

Miss Elsie Luchterhand, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. F. C. Luchterhand, and Mr. Reno Herdrich, son of Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Herdrich, were united in marriage at the home of the bride's parents, Thursday evening, May 14th, 1925 at 8 o'clock, Rev. Pohlman performing the ceremony.

As Mrs. Pohlman commenced to play the wedding march, the bridal couple and attendants took their places in the parlor, which was beautifully decorated in pink and white for the occasion.

The bride was becomingly attired in a "robins egg blue" canton crepe dress and wore a handsome corsage bouquet of sweet peas and roses.

She was attended by her sister Lizzie, who wore a "satin back canton crepe" dress of lipstick red and wore carnations.

The groom wore a dark brown suit, and was attended by his brother, Herbert.

Following the ceremony a three course dinner was served to the bridal party and immediate family. The dining room was decorated with pink and white carnations and ferns. The table was beautiful with smilax and the wedding cake, which was made by Ed Schelvan, was decorated in pink and white and ornamented with a tiny bride and groom.

After the dinner the evening was spent in a very social way.

The bride, who was born and raised on a farm south of Spokeville, Clark County, Wis., until the last few years having lived in the village, has been employed at the Albert Davel Co. Store and recently at B. W. Colby's Store. She has made many friends and is held in highest regard by all who know her.

The groom is a young man of fine character and is spoken well of by everyone. The last two years he has been employed at Beebe, Wash.

Both the bride and groom are graduates of our local high school.

The young couple went to housekeeping at once, and will be at home to their many friends after May 25 on the farm recently purchased by the groom.

The Tribune joins with friends in wishing them a long, happy and prosperous life.
