Ferguson, John (8 OCT 1857 - 4 JUN 1926)

Mr. John Ferguson died at his home Friday morning, June 4th, 1926. He was born at Hartford, Wis. Oct. 8, 1857 and at his death had reached the age of 68 years, 7 months and 26 days.

On Dec. 12, 1882 he was united in marriage to Julia Woodin at Hartford, where they resided until Sept. 1884, when they came to Loyal, Clark County, Wis.

They located on a farm one mile southeast of the village, where they resided until March 1920, when they came to this village where they have since made their home.

Besides his wife, he leaves to mourn his loss, three daughters and two sons, Cora Goodale of Dubuque, Iowa, Flossie Ohrmund of Hartford, Iva Oestreich of Loyal, Clarence of Hartford and Archie at home; also two brothers, Robert of Fond du Lac and Bena of Spokane, Wash., and four sisters, Mrs. Sadie Painter of Eugene, Oregon, Mrs. Mayme Lewis of Dona, Oregon, Mrs. Lizzie Anderson of Milwaukee and Miss Clara of Hartford.

The deceased was a kind and loving husband and father; and was spoken well of by all those who knew him.

Funeral services were held at the M. E. Church, Sunday afternoon, June 6th. Interment took place in the Loyal Cemetery, Wilson Mallory officiating.

The Tribune extends sympathy to the bereaved family.
