Gehres, Milton H. (20 Jan. 1862 - 8 Oct. 1930)

M. H. Gehres, an old resident of the town of Lynn, passed away at his home in that town, Oct. 8, after an illness of several months, due to cancer of the kidney.

Milton H. Gehres was born in Carol County, Indiana, Jan. 20, 1862. He was married at Milo, N. D. , on April 13, 1885, to Miss Etta Steinbaugh, who survives him.

About 20 years ago they came to the town of Lynn and settled on a farm which has been their home since then. He was a good man and a good citizen and well liked by all who knew him.

To Mr. and Mrs. Gehres were born four children. One son, Walter, died in infancy; the surviving children are Glenn, Anna and Emma, all at home. He leaves also two sister and five brothers two brothers preceding him in death. Those living are Joseph, Alvin and Will of Indiana, Francis of Ray, N.D., and Charles, Margaret and Eliza all of Seattle, Wash.

The funeral was held at the home Friday, Rev. Joseph Burge and Rev. Wallace Pabov of Bay City, Wis. , officiating. Burial took place in the Lynn Cemetery. A nephew, Fred Gehres of Osseo and many friends from different parts of the state attended the funeral.
