Etta, Irvin (17 NOV 1889 - 11 NOV 1918)

Irvin Etta, oldest son of Mr. and Mrs. T. R. Etta was born Nov. 17, 1889 in Kewaskum, Washington Co., and died at Stevens Point Nov. 11, 1918. He was sick a few days of influenza.

Irvin attended the public schools of this village and also the High School. In 1909 he left for Minneapolis, where he studied at the Thompson's Railway college for telegraphy. He has been an operator at Stanley and Stevens Point until this year, when he made dispatcher, a position he was holding at the time of his death.

On June 2, 1917 he was married to Miss Florence E. Wilcox of Stevens Point, who with her parents, 2 brothers, Clarence of Hayward, Arthur at home, two sisters, Mrs. Aug. Woodkey of Spencer and Eva at home are left to mourn his death. Irvin was a fine young man who had the respect of everyone.

The funeral services were held at the house Thursday afternoon at 2 o’clock, the Masons taking charge of the services at the grave. Interment was in the cemetery at Stevens Point.

The relatives have the sympathy of all in their bereavement.
