Julia Wenzel 2/11/1851-11/3/1903

On Tuesday afternoon, Nov. 3, 1903, at 4:20 o'clock, occurred the death of Mrs. Valentine Wenzel, at her home seven miles northwest of Withee.

Mrs. Wenzel was formerly Miss Julia Delamarche and was born in Louis County, NY, on February 11, 1851. She with her parents came west, at the age of 3 years, and resided in Sheboygan County. In 1871, she was married to Mr. Valentine Wenzel and they resided in Sheboygan County until 1902, when she came to Withee with her husband and family and bought a farm 7 miles northwest of here, where she has resided up to the time of her death.

Mrs. Wenzel was always a loving wife and mother and was considered by all who met and knew her as a dear and valuable friend. Although she has been here for only a few years, she has made many warm friends, who will greatly miss her from their midst.

Deceased leaves to mourn her loss, a husband and seven chidren; a mother, Mrs. Bock of Weyauwega, WI, and a sister, Mrs. Ter Haar of Weyauwega, WI; a brother, Mr. Geo. Delamarche of New York; besides many friends.

The funeral took place at the Catholic Church here last Friday, Nov. 6th, and the remains were laid to rest in the new village cemetery.
