Miller, Mr. & Mrs. John (50th - 3 Nov. 1931)

Mr and Mrs. John Miller, 725 Broad Street, Oshkosh, formerly of Neillsville, celebrated their fiftieth wedding anniversary, Nov. 3. Nine children, six daughters, and three sons were born to the couple of which four were able to come home and help celebrated the event.

The out of town children and grandchildren were Mrs. P. Schultz, and daughters Helen and Dorothy and Mr. and Mrs. Wallie Schultz and son Leonard, which is the only great grandchild of the bride and groom. These relatives all are from Neillsville.

The out of town guests were Mr. And Mrs. George Miller of Fond du Lac and Mr. and Mrs. O. C Jenks and daughter Gladys and son Billie from Pickett and Mr. and Mrs. Martin Allen and son Darrell of Oshkosh.

A lovely dinner and supper were served at the home. The evening was spent in dancing and singing.

The couple received many lovely gifts.

The other children who could not come were Mrs. Geo. Welanda, Lamour, N. D., Mrs. Palmer Welander, Fullerton, N. D., John and Carl Miller, Butternut and Mrs. John Miesle, Nomewood, Ill.

Mr and Mrs. Miller were married in Milwaukee and came to Neillsville a year later. Mrs. Miller’s name before marriage was Louise Kloety and she was born at Grafton, Wis. Mr. Miller was born in Germany. They have lived in Oshkosh for the past 22 years.
