Embke, Marian (7 Sept. 1903 - 3 April 1932)

Mrs. Herman Embke of the town of Levis, who had been ill with pneumonia for some time, passed away at Neillsville Hospital, Sunday morning, April 3, aged 28 years, 6 months and 26 days.

Marian Secord was born at Green Bay Sept. 7, 1903. She attended the Green Bay public schools and the West Side high school.

During her girlhood years she frequently visited friends here and became quite well acquainted. June 11, 1924, she was married to Herman Embke, and electrician, of Neillsville. Recently they moved to a farm in Levis where they had just completed a new home. Her death, just at the prime of life is peculiarly sad. She was a lady of fine intelligence and grace and was loved by all who knew her.

She leaves her husband and one son, Ernest, six years of age; also her parents, Mr. And Mrs. W. E. Secord, of Green Bay; one sister, Mrs. D. L. Vadnais; two brothers, Joseph and Walter Secord, all of Green Bay, and one brother, Hugh, of Milwaukee.

Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at Zion Reformed Church, Rev. E. H. Vornholt, officiating.
