Burpee, Henry N. (*1882 - 1932) * Could be off
A news item from Seattle states that H. N. Burpee, 50 years old, who formerly lived on a farm near Christie had committed suicide at Seattle by jumping from the eighth floor of the Frye Hotel. He had given his address as Portland. He left a note saying: "Here is $4 to pay for my room. I have notified my friends and they will call for my body at the morgue in a few days." Mr. Burpee was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Burpee south of Christie. His mother committed suicide about 35 years ago by jumping from the barn window on the farm.
*Henry’s first name was taken from his mother’s (Adelia Jones Burpee) obituary.
