Hannah E.** Rahn, 94, of Curtiss died Friday, Dec. 24, 2004, at the Clark County Health Care Center in Owen. Maurina Funeral Home in Abbotsford is assisting the family with arrangements.

Hannah A. Rahn

CURTISS -Hannah Amelia Hamm Rahn, 94, of Curtiss died Friday, Dec. 24, 2004, at the Clark County Health Care Center in Owen.

Funeral services for Hannah will be held at 11 a.m. today at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Curtiss. Visitation also will be held at St Paul's from 9 a.m. until service time at 11 a.m. The Revs. Lauren and Alice Hamm will officiate. Burial will be in Pine Hill Cemetery, Curtiss.

Pallbearers will be Terry and David Buchholz, Doug Kirchner, Gary Krug and Kenneth and Kristin Schmidt.

Hannah was born Feb. 19, 1910, in Curtiss, the daughter of Frank and Hattie (Perlberg) Hamm. She was the second oldest child of seven. Hannah married Fred "Fritz" Rahn on June 7, 1930. Fritz and Hannah farmed for many years north of Curtiss, in the town of Hoard. They were married for 38 years until his death in 1968.

Hannah spent her final days at the Clark County Health Care Center. She died peacefully on Christmas Eve morning.

Hannah had a big heart and each family member and friends had a special place in it.

She always was making children and adults smile with her generous gifts of candy, cookies and pies. She also had a gift of crocheting beautiful doilies and tablecloths.

Along with her gifts of baking and crocheting, Hannah was also a determined and faithful child of God. Hannah attended church just about every week. She also went out of her way to serve God and His people in any way she could.

Hannah is survived by her two sisters, Amelia Neitzel of Curtiss and Adeline (Ernest) Neitzel; and her sister-in-law, Mildred Hamm, also of Curtiss.

Hannah was preceded in death by her husband, "Fritz;" her mother, Hattie; her father, Frank; and her brothers, William, Frank, Edward and Henry Hamm.

Maurina/Community Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements.
