Stevens, May (11 JUL 1928)

Miss May Stevens became the bride of Alex Mrotek Wednesday evening, July 11, 1928 at 8:00 o’clock at the Lutheran personage. The ceremony was performed by Rev. Leschensky, the resident pastor in the presence of a few relatives.

They were attended by the bride’s sister and brother-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Lindekugel of Loyal.

A wedding dace was held in the Beaver Town Hall the same evening, where a large crowd assembled.

The bride is the youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Schradter of this village and is a talented and popular young lady. She graduated from our local high school with the class of 1926 and from the Wausau Business College with the class of 1927. Afterwards she accepted a position with our local state Senator W. L. Smith of Neillsville.

The groom is the eldest son of Mrs. Mary Mrotek of Loyal, and has been very prominent in the activities of the young men of this vicinity. His acquaintanceship is wide and he is admired by many friends for the fine qualities of personality and character that are his.

The newlyweds immediately went to housekeeping on the farm owned and conducted by the groom, in the town of Beaver. Friends have united in extending congratulations and best wishes to Mr. and Mrs. Mrotek for a happy and prosperous future.
