Miller, Mildred (17 Nov. 1924 - 14 Jan. 2005)

Mildred "Millie" Miller, age 80, Hatley, died Friday, Jan. 14, 2005, at Homme Home of Wittenberg under the care of Aspirus Comfort Care and Hospice Services, Wausau.

She was born Nov. 17, 1924, in Unity, to the daughter of the late John and Martha (Powers) Hein.

On Jan. 31, 1942, she was united in marriage to Benjamin "Ben" Miller at St. Florian Catholic Church, Hatley.

He preceded her in death on Nov. 23, 1983.

After marriage, the couple farmed in the town of Reid until their retirement. Millie was a member of St. Florian Catholic Church and its Rosary Society, the Wausau Deanery and Homemakers Club. She enjoyed gardening, baking, sewing and especially spending time with her family.

Survivors include "My Five Boys and Donna," Dale (Virginia) Miller, Atlanta, Donna (Bernard) Litza, Bevent, Duane (Rhonda) Miller, Benedict "Benjie" Miller, Brian "Chico" Miller and David "Chubby" Miller, all of Hatley; eight grandchildren, Kathy Dondoyano, Sara Austin, Mary McCallum, John Miller, Lisa, Lori, Donald "Launchpad" and Conrad Litza; two step-grandchildren, Carol and Nicole; six great-grandsons; one brother, John (Delores) Hein, Muskego; four sisters, Sister Alice Hein, St. Louis, Mo.,, Margaret Neitzke, Omaha, Neb., Mary Ragen and Lois Heckmann, both of Bellevue, Neb.; three God children, James Hein, Linda Hybicki and Gary Neitzke; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Harold Hein.

The funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m., Wednesday, Jan. 19, 2005, at St. Florian Catholic Church, Hatley. The Rev. Thomas Abraham will officiate. Interment will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call Tuesday at the church from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. and again on Wednesday at the church from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services. There will be a parish wake service on Tuesday at 8 p.m. at the church. The Ladies Rosary Society will recite a rosary on Wednesday morning prior to the funeral Mass.
