Klose, Amelia (9 JUL 1857 - 1 Jan 1929)

Amelia Klose was born in Two Rivers, Wisconsin on July 9, 1857, and was united in marriage to Mr. Joseph Cammers on Jan. 29, 1879. They resided in Two Rivers for a short time after which they moved to Beaver, Wis. where they lived for 29 years. Here they were among the first settlers and worked hard to improve the country. From there they moved on a farm near Spokeville where again they engaged in improving the country. The last few years they made their home in Spokeville until the death of Mr. Cammers which occurred on May 12, 1928. From that time Mrs. Cammers made with her son, Arthur until the time of her death which occurred on January 1, 1929, at the age of 71 years, 5 months and 23 days. She leaves to mourn her loss two sons, Harry of Beaver, Arthur on the homestead near Spokeville, and two daughters, Mrs. Schwantes, of Spencer, and Mrs. Ed Young of Spokeville. One son, Alvin, died in infancy. She also leaves four grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, one sister and a host of friends.

Mrs. Cammers has been a faithful member of the Evangelical church since she was fourteen years old. Funeral services were held from the Evangelical church at Spokeville on Friday, with the Rev. G. E. Zellmer of Marshfield officiating and Interment was made in the Beaver cemetery.

Many mourn the passing of this dear lady, a devoted friend and neighbor. With these the Tribune joins in extending sympathy to the bereaved family.
