Votava, Pia Anna (5 May 1863 - 14 Feb 1955)

Neillsville, Clark County, Wis. - A Requiem High Mass was offered Thursday, Feb. 17, at 9 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church for Mrs. Pia Anna Votava, age 91, who died Monday in St. Joseph's Hospital at Marshfield, where she had been a patient since early fall. The Rev. Peter J. Leketas officiated and burial was made in the Columbia Cemetery.

Pallbearers were William Campman, Ward Lockman, Frank Putz, John Putz, Henry Steimke and Alfred Wegner.

Mrs. Votava was born Pia Anna Tykac on May 5, 1863, in Bohemia. She grew up there and in 1883 was married to Filip Votava. They came to Baltimore, Md., in 1887, and several years later moved to Chicago. In 1897 they came to the Columbia area.

Mrs. Votava is survived by one son, Miles, Cicero, Ill., two grandsons and five great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, one son, one daughter, a sister and a brother.

Out-of-town relatives attending the services included Miles J. Votava, James Votava and Joseph Votava, all of Cicero, Ill.
