Ehtelyn was born Feb. 27, 1922, a daughter of Arthur and Esther (Schilling) Lindow. On June 15, 1946, she was united in marriage to Wilmer "Pat" Draheim at the Evangelical United Brethren Church in Chili. Pat preceded her in death on May 2, 1977.

Ethelyn attended Cozy Corner elementary school in the town of Fremont and graduated from Granton High School. She attended college at the Wood County Normal in Wisconsin Rapids, where she received her teaching certificate.

Mrs. Draheim was a school teacher at the Forman School near Christie and later taught at the Chili School and City View School in Marathon County. After her marriage, she and Pat farmed north of Marshfield. The couple owned and operated Patland Nursery, offering landscaping and selling Christmas trees from 1952 to 1977.

The Draheims started the Mara-wood 4-H club in Marathon County. Ethelyn was a 4-H leader for 35 years and received the highest honor given a 4-H leader in Marathon County, the Leadership Award. She was a member of Zion United Methodist Church, past president of the United Methodist Women, church volunteer, member of the Young at Hearts and the church librarian. She also volunteered at the Marshfield Nursing Center and Soup or Socks.

She especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and flower gardening.

She is lovingly survived by four sons, Keith Draheim, Wausau, Gary (Debbie) Draheim, Ocoee, Fla., William (Marina) Draheim, Mosinee, and Richard Draheim, Cornucopia. Seven grandchildren, Tracy, Patti, Jodi, Mindy, Megan, Shawn and Jared further survive Ethelyn.

Her parents and niece, Cindy, preceded her in death.
