Norton, Everett (1921? - 4 Oct. 1932)

Everett Norton, aged 21, son of Rev. and Mrs. W. H. Norton of Bloomer, was shot accidentally while hunting October 4. Burial took place at Greenwood Oct. 6.

The young man was hunting with two companions, and was walking behind the other two; a bird flew up and one of the men turned and shot at it, the charge entering the face and body of Everett.

Rev. Norton was pastor of the Presbyterian church here about four years ago for several months. The son was working at La Crosse at the time his parents lived here, but visited in Neillsville a number of times.

Mr. Norton's first pastorate was at Greenwood and during his residence there a child died and was buried in the Greenwood Cemetery. For this reason the son was also interred there.

Neillsville friends deeply sympathize with Rev. and Mrs. Norton in their bereavement.
