George, Ida (27 APR 1892 - 16 May 1929)

Ida George, nee Arndt, was born in the town of Sherman, Clark Co., Wis., on April 27, 1892. She was baptized and confirmed in the Ev. Lutheran Church. On June 10, 1922 she was united in marriage with Aug, George. The couple resided at Minneapolis, Minn., continuously since their marriage.

About three years ago, Mrs., George had symptoms which indicated an operation advisable. Later she submitted to another operation. Both operations failed to bring about recovery of good health. Her suffering finally ended on the 16th day of May 1929, at the age of 37 years and 19 days.

Among the bereaved are her husband, Aug. George, two brothers, Fred and August Arndt; three uncles, Chas. Gilroy, Chas. Rahm and Aug. Rahm; an aunt, Mrs. Fred Osius, a number of friends to whom she had endeared herself.

Funeral services were held at 1:30 P. M. Monday at the home of Aug. Rahm, and at 2:00 P. M. at the Salem Ev. Lutheran Church, Veefkind. The Rev. A. Draeger officiated. Interment took place in the adjoining cemetery. Those from away who attended the funeral included her husband Aug. George, her two brothers Fred and Aug. Arndt from Random Lake , an aunt Mrs. Fred Osius from Plymouth; and a cousin and wife from Humbird, Mr. and Mrs. Philip Gilroy.
