Klein, George V. (14 Feb 1882 - 14 Feb 1962)

Loyal, Clark County, Wis. - Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Myre Funeral Home for George V. Klein, 80, Loyal, who died of a heart attack Wednesday at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Earl Nelson, in Eau Claire.

The Rev. V. A. Ganz, pastor of Trinity Lutheran Church, will officiate and burial will be made in the Loyal Cemetery.

Mr. Klein was born Feb. 14, 1882 in Wilton, Iowa, and married the former Kathrine Schnoor on Dec. 14, 1904 in Wilton, Iowa. He farmed in that area until 1913, when he moved to a farm in the town of Beaver, Clark County. Since 1952 he had lived in Loyal. For the past two weeks he had been visiting with his daughter in Eau Claire.

He had been a member of the school and town boards in the town of Beaver for many years.

Surviving are his wife; five daughters, Mrs. Albert (Bertha) Ampe, Ogallala, Neb.; Mrs. Eugene (Ida) Klein, Neenah; Mrs. Phillip (Martha) Schanke, Rothschild; Mrs. Robert (Anna) Underwood, New Carlisle, Ohio, and Mrs. Earl (Florence) Nelson, Eau Claire; four sons, John, Loyal; Walter, Davenport, Iowa; Earl, Eau Claire and George, Lincoln, Neb.; 20 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by four sisters and a brother.
