Phillips, Leslie S. (27 JUN 1937 - 7 Augl 1971)

Loyal, Clark County, Wis. - Leslie S. Phillips, 33, of Long Beach, Calif., a former Loyal area resident, died Saturday, at St. Mary's Hospital at Grand Junction, Colo., where he had been a patient following injuries suffered in a car accident about 10 days ago.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Anthony's Catholic Church here with the Very Rev. Norbert E. King, pastor, officiating. Burial will be made in the parish cemetery.

Visitations May be made at the Rembs Chapel in Marshfield, from 2 p.m. Tuesday until 9 a.m. Wednesday and at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the church. A general rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Mr. Phillips was born June 27, 1937, in Milwaukee, and came to the Clark County area at the age of 6 with his parents. He made his home in Loyal and Marshfield before moving to Long Beach, Calif., about eight years ago.

He was married Aug. 13, 1960, in Loyal, to Shirley Wehe, who survives him.

Other Survivors are two sons, Bruce Allen and Brian Keith Phillips, at home; a daughter, Karen Marie Phillips, at home; a sister, Mrs. Orville Hansen, Suring, Wis.; two brothers, Russell and Harold Phillips, both of Sheboygan Falls, Wis.; and his mother, Mrs. Lucinda Phillips, Milwaukee.

This man only has a military marker that has Leslie Q. Phillips on it. Same birth and death dates. Someone sent me an edit that says he died in Long Beach, California but I see that is where he lived but died in Colorado.
