Silkey, Henry (2 APR 1871 - 9 Jan 1961)

Neillsville, Clark County, Wis. - Funeral services were held this afternoon at the Christie Methodist Church for Frank Henry Silkey, 89, Christie, who died at Memorial Hospital Monday afternoon. The Rev. Gene W. Carlson, Greenwood, officiated and burial was made in the Neillsville Cemetery.

Mr. Silkey was born April 2, 1871, at Ashippen, in Dodge County and was married there on Nov. 16, 1893, to Susan Schaefer, who died in 1901. In November of 1902, he was married Frances Chase. His second wife preceded him in death and he was married in 1924 to the former Hattie Raymond who survives him.

Mr. Silkey received his education in Dodge County and came to Clark County in 1902, locating on a farm in the town of Weston. He farmed until 1919 when he retired.

Other survivors are two sons, Edwin, Neillsville, and George, Aberdeen, Wash.; five grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren.

He was also preceded in death by one daughter, five sisters and two brothers.
