Begley, Edward (15 May 1885 -2 April 1933)

Edward Begley, a well known resident of Neillsville and locality died suddenly Sunday morning, April 2, at his home in the town of York. He was assisting in doing some work on his car which had got stuck and was suddenly taken with heart failure expiring within a few minutes.

Mr. Begley was born in the town of York May 15, 1885 and grew to manhood there. Oct. 5, 1910, he was united in marriage with Miss Marian Holt, who survives him.

In 1922 they moved from the farm to the city of Neillsville which was their home until about a month ago, when they moved back to the farm. Besides his wife he leaves one son Ernest, a young man of 21 years of age. He leaves also a brother George and a sister, Miss Grace Begley.

Mr. Begley was a very fine type of man and stood high in the estimation of all in this community. His sudden death while still in the prime of life is a great loss to his family and his friends. He was fond on farming, an excellent farmer and was very enthusiastic about moving back to the farm.

The funeral was held (Wednesday) afternoon at the Congregational church, Rev. G. W. Longenecker officiating.
