DWAYNE I BUETTNER

Surnames: Buettner, Wicks, Kalsow, Werner, Strangfeld.

Dwayne I Buettner, age 73, of Salem, WI, passed away Wed. April 30th, 2003, at Grande Prairie Health and Rehab Center in Pleasant Prairie, WI.

Dwayne was born Aug. 11, 1929, in Eaton, WI, the son of the late Everett and Leota (Wicks) Buettner. He had lived in Neillsville before moving to Salem in 1963. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict.

Dwayne was a flower gardener, enjoyed reading science fiction and loved to putter around the house. He retired in 1985 from Chrysler in Kenosha, WI.

On Nov. 26, 1951 he married Dorothy Kalsow in Dubuque, Iowa.

Surviving Dwayne is his wife of over 51 years, Dorothy; four children, Douglas (Monica) of Orlando, FL, Deborah (James) Werner of Galena, MO, David and Dawn of Salem; his grandchildren, Darby (Charlie), Eddie, Jamie, Erick; his great-granddaughter, Ashley; one sister, Jackie (Herman) Strangfeld of Neillsville; one brother, James (Kay) Buettner of Granton; and his sister-in-law, Diane Buettner of Neillsville.

Preceding Dwayne in death were his parents and one brother Bill.

Memorial funeral services were held Saturday, May 3rd at Strang Funeral Home in Antioch, IL, with private interment.
